I have contacted Blackdragon and asked him to come to Alamogordo and teach a class at the La Luz Range. Below is the information. This will be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and skill:
Black Dragon Personal Protection
Presents a
Firearms and Defensive Tactics Class
Saturday July 3rd, 2010
The class will be a combination of firearms and defensive tactics. Topics will include point aim shooting, speed rock, one hand drills with strong weak hand, clearing drills, proper drawing techniques, cover and concealment, transitioning drills, movement drills, and close combat defensive tactics to create distance or access your weapon.
This class will be taught by Scott Williams, owner of Black Dragon Personal Protection. Scott has been a police officer with the Houston police department since 1982. He has an extensive list of qualifications that can be viewed at www.blackdragonpersonalprotection.com.
There is no special physical conditioning requirement, other than being in good health. The movements will be simple, and the need to run will be limited to four to five yards at a time max, at the pace of the student. You need at least 300 rounds as well as snap caps and spent brass in the caliber of your handgun, a holster (either a belt type, or inside the pants) and at least one mag holder, a jacket or shirt to cover the weapon, at least one extra magazine, comfortable shoes, hat, and eye and ear protection. Skill level can be basic to advanced.
Please bring plenty of water or drinks and snacks.
Fee will be $80 per student. The class will be held at the Sidney Paul Gordon Shooting Range in La Luz, NM.
Class will run from 8:30am till approx. 1:30pm
