I found this on another forum (USA Carry.com). This bill would allow for concealed carry in restaurants that serve alcohol and get 60% of their revenue from food. Here is the link: http://www.nmlegis.gov/Sessions/09%20Regular/bills/house/HB0105.html

I wonder what we can do to support this. I agree with it whole heartedly. The two places I visit the most, Texas and Utah, both have this law.

We can contact the legislature and urge them to support this: http://www.nmlegis.gov/lcs/committeedisplay.aspx?CommitteeCode=HBIC

Here in South Dakota we have the 51% law. So this cover all eating places. Naturally we can not go into just bars or casino's. I have not checked Tennessee's law's lately, But back in 2004 my wife and I went back for a visit ( I have some family there ) we can carry in Tennessee with our SD permits, but ANY restaurant that serves beer, wine or liquor was off limits when carrying. We went into Logans Roadhouse and I had to leave my gun in the trunk. I guess I never really understood those kinda laws. Be Safe, Dave

This is the way it is in NM now I and I hate it. I believe that as long as I a not drinking alcohol, I should have the right to carry. I do agree though that a bar is not a proper place to have a firearm.
