This is a well debated topic in my opinion. How much ammo is enough ? I would say at least 1000 per firearm. This 1000 does not include practice ammo. I dont have enough myself but little by little. What do you guys think ?

I only continue to buy. Just stocked up on reloading supplies last night.

Ordered

50,000 primers - assorted types
90 lbs of assorted powders
62,500 assorted caliber bullets
another 500 .50 BMG cases

and no - not getting ready for war. I will rotate most of my entire reloading stock and 30 - 50 % of factory every 18 - 24 months. I shoot 4 - 5 days each week.

I'm thankful for Microsoft Access. Without a database to keep everything in I would be lost on what do I have and what do I need to get. I have everything inventoried by barcodes and have4 a hand scanner to do inventory each month. Whew

Well organized bud. Good stuff. You have a bunch of ammo. I just stack mine up in the closet. Maybe when I get over 2K in ammo I will think about something different.

You are my HERO. That is awesome that you need a bar code reader to track your inventory.

I am lucky in that my wife and I both have steady and nicely compensated employment. My Military retirement is my slush fund for toys.

I am getting ready to drop 3 grand on a scope for my Barrett .50 sniper rifle.

Scope comes complete with computer system called BORS. Has everything except for a back scratcher.

Sweet but something that large. Lets go prarie Dog hunting at 1000 to 1500 yds. Now that is worth a little side bet on.

Actually that is a very decent shot.

I guess that could be possible with a 3k scope!
