I am just curious about what all we drive. I have a 2008 Honda Ridgeline RT. It is Billet Silver. This was our 3rd Honda and so far we love them. My first Honda was a 2005 Honda Element. It was a good car and I was leasing it and when the lease was up I decided to trade up to the Ridgeline. I liked the Element but as I get older I wanted a better riding vehical. And my wife drive a 2008 Honda Civic. I dont think the Civic has that good of a ride, Actually kinda choppy to me, But she likes it and thats all that counts :) Be Safe, Dave

Nice topic. This is right up my alley. (I sell cars for a living)
I drive a 2007 Toyota Tundra Dbl cab 5.7L with a 3" lift and 33" BFG AT KO's.
My wife drives a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid that gets 27 mpg around town. Thats right, around town in an all-wheel drive SUV.

Can you guess what kind of cars I sell:confused:

lololololol I figured that one out by the Toyota add on the top!,,, Before I decided on the Ridgeline I test drove a Toyota FJ, It had a beautiful ride and plenty of power, The only down side to the FJ was the blind spots in the rear, It was good for me but if my wife ever had to drive it she would be backing over everything. Be Safe, Dave

Ya, that one does have a few blind spots. After you drive it for a while you get used to it though.

My wheels are a 2004 Chevy Silverado 3/4 Ton Heavy Duty, 4x4, extended cab with a long box, Duramax Diesel Engine and Allison Transmission. I need such a big truck because I tow a 5th Wheel. My wife drives a 1999 Chevy Malibu.

I wish I still had my first car, It was nothing special, In 1977 when I turned 16 I bought a 1966 Plymouth Belvedere. It was nothing real special, A 2 door, 225 slant 6 and 3 speed. I bought that car for 50 bucks and ran it for almost 3 years. It was a good car with good memories. Be Safe, Dave

You guys must not be as old as I am. My first car cost me a piece of test equipment (I was an electronics technician in the USAF) and $50.00. It was a 1952 Desoto with a fluid drive transmission. That was a good car:D. I had to put the engine back on the motor mounts every 20 miles or so.

WOW - reading the above posts sure bring back memories. The ones I had and wish I still did - 1969 Camaro Convertible SS-396, 1970 Ford Torino Cobra Jet - 429, 1970 Roadrunner, 426 H with the 6 pack, not a car but - 1969 Kawasaki H1 Mach III 500.

I do still have a couple of collectables. 1947 Harley K model bought new in 48 by my dad. 26,000 original miles, 1975 Kawasaki Z1B 900- I took this baby out of the crate in 75 and put it together - still one of the fastest on the road and my prized possession, 100 Anniversary 2003 Harley FLSTCI Heritage Classic.

As for the present autos - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD that the wife and I fight over, 2009 F150 SC, and a 1999 Buick Regal that still looks new.

And sorry BMan and MD, but toyotas? I'm a jeeper and have to poke fun at toyotas....It's a Jeep Thing, You Wouldn't Understand.

Don't tell anyone, but my wife drives a Highlander:D:D

I understand. I convert a lot of people from the heep to Toyota. Sorry I mean Jeep:p. The FJ Cruiser and the Jeep are big competitors. I used to own a Jeep, it was fun. Sounds like you have a nice ride. Can't wait to see it.

When we meet I'll tell you what FJ really stands for. Probably not appropriate to post it here. hahaha

I drive a 2007 Impala SS. I love it. Am an old drag racer and it fit's the bill. But the wife drives a Toytoda Camry.. She has driven Toyota's for years. Had a Corola that she put 120,000 miles on it and still sold it for over 2 grand.. Now if you could get a big block V8 in one I would snatch it up..

Well she seems to think so as well. That Toyota is her baby. She is lusting after an Avalon cause a friend of hers has one. I think that will be her next vehicle. Myself I will be looking at the new Camero or the Pontiac G8 GT. Love that 400 HP stuff. I work for EDS and GM is our client so I get the employee option so the price is not too bad...

Not much. BudBuilt skid, Bandi mount for the CB, multivex mirrors and will put on some better tires than the factory Dunslops. But went to the 1st FJ summit in Ouray and it did fine on all the trails there.

And sorry BMan and MD, but toyotas? I'm a jeeper and have to poke fun at toyotas....It's a Jeep Thing, You Wouldn't Understand.
Sold our Wrangler Sahara and were about to get a 4-dr Wrangler when my wife sat in an FJ and then took it on a test drive. She could actually hear the radio. :) Anyway we loved the Wrangler and enjoyed the Jeep thing (miss the waves, the FJ folks around us never wave). Wish we could have both.

Sounds good except we're in the DFW, Tx area and so that makes it a pretty long trip. Watched a pretty good movie last night called 'Swing Vote' with Kevin Costner and it was supposedly about this guy living in a town called Texico, NM.

We have about 4 FJ's that drive in from Dallas. Two from Houston. Team up with them and drive down for a long weekend.

A man after my own heart but so are the F150 and Jeep guys too. We are old people and grouchy at 66. But we drive a 2008 Miata MX5 power hard top for funnies, a 2005 F150 4x4 crew cab short bed Lariat for comfort and pulling the little RV, a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee TSI since new now mostly for snow and ice storms and the back country when I hunt with a camera and not to forget a 2005 Honda Goldwing with Tailwind M/C trailer for more funnies.

Later,

John

I still drive the first car I bought---1978 FJ40 Landcruiser---still a great 4x4!
Also have a 2004 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban (love that 8.1 L) for pulling boat/RV,
Still drive my original 1991 Suburban (281,000 + miles---same engine/trans),
And to counter the 8.1L, we drive a 4 cyl 2009 Hyundai Sonata

You should bring it to my FJ rally on Labor Day in Clouldcroft. We will have about 40 FJ Cruisers and 10 Land Cruisers. It will be a blast. Keep watching the site for more info at www.nmfjrally.com.

2004 Dodge Hemi 4x4 with 58k miles. Bman will be happy to hear I bought it from the used car side of DS. Love that one too.
