Anybody here own a AK47 rifle? I am familiar with AR's but I want an AK rifle but I was wondering if any of you guys owned one, and if you like it. I am looking to buy a used one soon but I am hesitant. Any input would be great.

Don't hesitate - there has been more "kalashnikov AK-47" rifles made and distributed throughout the world than most other combat rifles added together. It isn't in use like this for nothing.

In Vietnam - our soldiers, at first laughed at them but that was quickly changed to respect. While you can pick it up and shake it and listen to everything rattle you should remember one thing. It was designed that way. WHY - because it is one of the few weapons that no matter what the environment- it works when you pull the trigger. Trust me when I say that even today, I could pick a AK out of all other weapons just from the sound.

they are good. the only problem is the ammo is getting sorta expensive now unfortunatly. but there's nothing wrong with a good AK. just make sure that everythings in good working condition before you buy it and that the barrel has rifleing still apparent, the crisper the edges on it the better and rock n roll. you'll love shooting it.
