I ran across this and I wonder why it is acceptable for police to act this way and get a pass on it? First off, I think this gentleman was looking for a confrontation and was slow to comply with the commands from the officer. It is just the verbal abuse that is heard is what concerns me. I understand about the dangers of being an police officer. I just do not accept that this behavior should be tolerated. In most cases if you were to act this way to an officer you would find yourself in jail. With the techonalogy of today it is becoming clear what kind of people police officers are. I know that this is a smaller percentage then the good ones out there. How long is this going to last though if action is not taken to curb this kind of behavior?

So is this just the police doing their job or is it police overstepping their authority in the name of public safety?
It's Philthydelphia police being anal orifices because they have been that way for 60 years and don't want to change.

Not the first of these types of incidents and likely not the last. Police will always try to make this a tough sell to the public for the FEAR factor alone.

^^Not all of them are this way. There are a few bad apples though in the system which give a lot of the good guys bad reps.

Those bad apples are all over the country unfortunately. Recently here in Las Cruces there was an incident where someone was open-carrying, just minding his own business and the cops detained and disarmed him for several hours until they were able to figure out that the guy wasn't breaking any laws.

Unbelievable... One officers blatent cursing and disregard for the law their paid to uphold. Guilty until proven innocent. All of them should be reprimanded and one should be canned. Lemme goto the range with the potty mouth and see who deserves to carry more appropriately. Cops are gods now? Not even close. I respect their dangers but gimme a break. Investigate correctly. I lose more and more respect for the people that are passing these psych tests to become cops... Any shaved head ex military might just have some aggression still bottled up. Not knocking troops. I'm one. But I don't wanna be a cop....

This is just my opinion. The fella with the open carry gun should have followed orders and not argued. When the weapon was inspected and cleared, he could then show his permits and explain his rights. If the officer wanted to push the issue let him. It will be HIS LOSS and not yours. With all the crazy people in this world you could be shot for not following orders. Also, taking the offenders side here, CROOKS DO NOT OPEN CARRY! Any cop in the world knows this. When ever I get pulled over in Missouri as soon as they run the tags on my car they know it is owned and operated by a CCW holder. The officer will ask me for my drivers license, insurance and registration, then he says, "When I ran your plates, it tells me you are CCW permit holder, do you have a firearm on you now sir?" I answer, "Yes officer, it's located in my holster on my right hip." He may or may not ask for my weapon. If he does I remove my weapon VERY slowly, drop the mag, clear the chamber and lock the slide, all done while pointing in safe direction. I give the mag, weapon, chambered round to the officer. He does his task, I get my gun, mag, chambered round back. No issues. The guy in this video IMO was looking for a fight.

Imopo, this guy was not following police orders from the start. He was more worried about turning on his recorder. That to me makes all of us lawful carriers of concealed wepons look bad. You dont aggitate the police, their job is stressful enough. He was looking to prove a point and get recognition, guess he got what he wanted. Sad!
