OK,, is it me or is 9mm ammo getting harder to find? I use Winchester White Box ammo for target shooting and usually get it at the local Wal-Mart. 100 Round box usually costs 19.99. For the past month Wal-Mart has had NONE. Local sporting goods stores are pretty much out of 9mm except some carry ammo. Is this going on everywhere or is it just in the upper mid-west? I did go to my local Scheels sporting goods today and for once they had a pretty good supply of the WWB 100 rounds. It costs 2 dollors more a box but I deced to go ahead a get 12 boxes just in case. Scheels is also where I get my carry ammo, Hornady 124 gr TAP, The salesman said they have not been able to get iny of that in well over 2 months, Go Figure. Be Safe, Dave

All ammo is hard to find even 9.
I was at walmart and all the had was 25 auto 22 lr and one rifle caliber I forget which one

NM is the same way. I've been checking with Walmart almost daily for 45ACP, 38, 357, and they never have anything. The guys there told me they cant keep any handgun ammo on the shelves for more than a day. I stopped in yesterday and they had 5 boxes of 45 in. Not the brand i normally buy and a little more expensive but i still bought up all of it. now all they have is one box of 357 (100 rounds for almost $50...too expensive for me after the 45) and some rifle ammo. If you find anything you're looking for you should probably pick it up when you can because it's may be harder to get it in the future.

Last time I looked even Ammoman.com was out of most in 9mm.

Sorry but I MUST SMILE. I walk into my gun room and see my stock and just drewl in times like these.

Since 1980 I typically buy only self defense ammo since I make (reload) 99% of my practice ammo. Most of my practice is loaded to close to self defense to ensure I am close to "training the way you fight".

Ammo is like the two dollar bill (hard to find). I just brought 500 rounds of .45 ACP for target shooting last week. It took forever to find it becasue WalMart was out. Then I brought 200 - 250 round of Federal Hydro-Shock online a month ago (great deal). Stock up now if you don'nt reload. Its only going to get harder to find and more expensive. Good luck with ammo.
