Lcp shipping info needed

Has anyone shipped there LCP using the ups store?
looking at the ups web site to ship firearms you must use a daily pick up account or UPS customer center.
They sa you can not use a UPS store
The letter from ruger says not to say you have a firearm but doesn't say where I can ship from

I've heard to be very caustious using UPS to ship firearms, there is a tendancy for items to go missing. FedEx on the other hand, though often more expensive, provide special handling and overnight ship them by air. This is just what I've been told and don't have personal experience, but I would ask about handling prior to shipping
