What is your opinion? should the National Anthem "always" be sung as written and designed?

I voted no just because of the word always in there. I like the Jimmy Hendrix version but that's just me. Haven't heard any other versions that I care for.

Abso"frickin"loutly. If we're going to change the National Anthem, are we going to change the Pledge of Aliegance next? It's history, and we don't have the right to change it, and history.

Good response but I don't remember singing in the Hendriz version. I can tolerate a different musical rendition but the are murdering it from a singing standpoint in sports and other events.

Good catch, I glossed right over the 'sung' part.

Don't change a thing. I agree, this is our history. I was raised saying the Pledge like that and I will die saying it too.
