Pre Paid Lawyers?

When I took my concealed carry class, I was advised by the instructor that it wasn't a bad idea to retain a lawyer or pre pay for one. To look for one who either specializes or has experience in self defense shootings. He said that in some instances, in a self defense shooting, it could set you back 25k -50k defending yourself. My question is, do any of you have a lawyer retained or pre paid lawyer services? What are your thoughts on this?

I would not really know how to even pick a lawyer. I have never had to have one and I dont think I have honestly ever met a lawyer. But you are right, I heard the same thing many years ago. This might be something to start looking into for that " Just Incase " reason. Be Safe, Dave

I belong to a highly specialized group fund in which we continuously donate for the sole purpose of defense fees for this exact scenario. The fund is also used for taking care of survivors should the unexpected happen.
