while we all are very comfortable carrying and most if not all of us can handle ourselves without any firearm.here is my thought, weight training, I know come on what does that have to do with self defence with or without a gun. To me its like this, the bad guys are going to use anything they can to harm or kill us,weight trainign, not bodybuilding, or power lifting, just lifting weights to get stronger so that I might be able to over power that bad guy if he is bigger or just some what stronger. Not to mention that weight training is also a great way to help reduce stress. and gain a little more control over your bodys fine motor skills

I agree, I uses those Bowflex Select Tech weights. I also have a Bowflex home gym as well. They work great. I have my own little home gym. Not quite as good as the actual gym though, but cheaper.

i'm not an expert on hand to hand/unarmed self defense by any means. but, have trained a long time in various styles and also mma. the more you mix it up training wise the better your body is going to be able to handle unpredictable situations.
