New Mexico Restaurant Carry Bill Moving in Senate!

Please Contact the Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee!
Last Friday, the New Mexico Senate Corporations & Transportation Committee approved Senate Bill 608 <http://www.nmlegis.gov/lcs/_session.aspx?Chamber=S&LegType=B&LegNo=608&year=09> , an NRA-backed bill sponsored by State Senator George Munoz (D-4). This bill would permit Concealed Handgun Licensees to protect themselves in establishments licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises IF the establishment derives a majority of its annual gross receipts from the sale of food. SB 608 now moves to the Senate Judiciary Committee for consideration.
Please contact the committee members listed below at their capitol offices and respectfully urge them to support SB 608. Kindly remind them that it is already unlawful to carry a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and that Concealed Handgun Licensees should not be denied their right to self-defense just because other patrons of a dining establishment can legally choose to consume alcoholic beverages on the premises.
