How many of you use a bore snake to clean your firearms? Do they work pretty good?

I have one for my 7 mag (hunting rifle) and my 12 GA (bird hunting) and carry the applicable bore snake with me while hunting. Real handy if you get some crud in the barrel, or a lot of moisture buld up. Takes up less room when on the go, but I don't rely on them when at home with all my cleaning gear at my disposal.

I have been checking them out as well. I think I will get one for my 9mm and one for my 40 cal.

I have a bore snake for every caliber I own from .22 to .45. Whenever I buy a new gun, that's the first thing I get, after some ammo of course. They're not the same as fieldstripping and scrubbing with bore cleaners and brushes and jags of course. But for the range or the field they're perfect. All mine are Hoppes 9.
