I am new to this site and very happy to see there is a section for women in here. I am new to carrying concealed as well. I do a lot of walking by myself so being armed is reassuring to me. I carry an XD 9mm made by Springfield Armory. It is a great gun for me. Not to heavy or bulky. It holds a lot of ammunition so it gives me plenty of chances to hit my target. hehe:)
I hope more women join, this will be fun.

Hi Jan... Another woman here. I carry a Taurus .45, but I am looking to sell it and get something that fits my small hands better...perhaps an XD. I occasionally carry my Ruger 9mm as well.

Hey Holly, I was wondering when we might get a few more women on the site. It sounds like you are pretty familiar with guns. I have an XD SC and I love it. It fits me perfectly. Do you have your conceal carry permit? Great talking to you, see you again soon.

Yes...I have both a NM and a Florida concealed carry license. My Dad lives in Pa., which doesn't honor my NM license. So I got the Florida license just in case I'd ever have to drive across country to Pa. I'm pretty much covered that way.

Holly - welcome to the site. I think that as time moves by we will get more women through word of mouth and the women who surf. I am trying to find female specific information and post it as often as possible.

Hi There: I finaly have my own sign in so my husband does not have to answer on my behalf! :O) I'm currently carrying a Kahr CW9. It is small and fairly easy to conceal both in winter and summer, although summer is more challenging. I've tried to conceal a Glock 26, but it is both heavier and bulkier for my smaller frame to deal with.

I know some of you might like to purse carry? I found this to be very difficult. I purchased a purse with a gun pocket, but the added wieght of even my Kahr was murder on my shoulder after one trip to Wally World! I was also very paranoid about losing track of the purse. I always carry my purse in the store, but was very self conscience of it. I'm much more comfortable having it on my person where I can feel it. I was also given some great advise that if you are ever stuffed in a trunk or your purse is ripped from your arm, you still have your weapon to assist you if it is on your person instead of in said purse. Have any of you tried a purse? What are your thoughts on this?
Thx for the forum to express our interests.
D'Niese

Well, I guess most men can not speak for most women!! My guy is pretty good after 25 years of living with me!! He posted some good comments regarding loose dogs, so I did not have to also put in my 2 cents worth! :O)
Anyway, so it goes! Looking forward to some good practice this weekend. I hope the weather holds.
See ya,

Her husband and her were the very first supporters of this site. So if you could all take a minute and send your regaurds, I would appreciate it greatly. I was fortunate to have the both of them in my concealed carry class last year. She will be missed.

Here is the the link to send your regaurds.
