:mad: I went to six different gun stores between Alamogordo and Las Cruces trying to get some ammo for a gun I just bought with no luck. Not just no ammo but no brass, bullets or dies so I can't even load my own! What is the world coming to? Anybody have any guesses on how long it will take for everyone to get their fill so that the rest of us can get some ammo? This is getting weird.

Well, I will be honest. I am one of those guys buying a bunch of rounds. I dont think it is the consumers that is the problem though. You would think the ammo companies would like to make more ammo so they could make more money. You said this is getting "weird." I agree. I think this isn't a coincidence. I think something bigger is going on. 9mm and 45. ACP are common rounds but nobody has any. I dont know what caliber you need but I do hope you find some. Thats why I keep buying ammo. What if one day you cant buy any ? What if guns all together are outlawed ? Just my two cents.

Was at one of our WallyMarts today. The really weird part is that they aren't getting the ammo to sell.

Happened to be there when their truck came in. They had two 100 round packs of 9mm and 1 box each of .45acp and .357 That was all that came through the distribution center.

I also heard noises from some of my ole SF buddies that the problem is more that our government let several hundred million handgun and .223 contracts on behalf of other nations. This is starting to actually make sense. Why would the ammo companies quit making ammo - they didn't - it's just obligated to certain places. Don't know for sure!

i called daves and they have 19 boxes of 10mm range ammo, CCI Blazer non reloadable stuff. dammmit. wtf. However I'll probably be getting some anyway. I need more brass though. I only have 300ish rounds loadable for my 10mm.
