I'm looking for quality .45ACP brass for reloading and would like to find some nickle plated as well. So much of the affordable "plinking ammo" like you get at walmart is cheap, soft brass. Drop me a line here if you have any you are willing to part with.

I would suggest you buy what you need from Starline. You would be getting new brass with a history only you would make. If you need to get once fired brass I suggest contacting a law enforcement agency and see what they do with once fired from their qualifications.

I'm trying to build my own inventory of once fired now. At least that way I get to enjoy making it once fired. The more I look for brass the more I see it's cost rising. I've actually seen factory ammo for only slightly more that some once fired brass. Maybe some people need to be reminded that it's brass and not gold for the prices they are asking. LOL

If your shooting Winchester White Box from Wally World, it's good to reload. Also, Magtech from Dave's is good stuff. When you say that the brass is soft, what are you comparing it to? Actually, all the name brands of ammo are good to reload in .45. Blazer makes some aluminum stuff I would'nt use and watch out for some of the economy brands . If you start out with good stuff you have nothing to worry about when reloading. Most problems will appear when you re-size them. When you get your loading press sorted out and start kicking out a few hundred you'll see what I mean. The .45 is a low pressure load and a good round to start with as it has an easy learning curve. As long as you don't start with +Ps . I learned to do it so that says a lot.
