Anyone else out there need a great Range Bag ?

This is a good secret to share with everyone, I think. I have always needed a good range bag but tend to just use boxes or even wal-mart bags to keep track of ammo, fired cases, cleaning kits and muffs and etc. for a good shooting day.

I stumbled across a discussion about such things and one person there recommended this one:

http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=259680

Note that it is on sale for $39 plus change, at least till the end of June. I ordered it last Friday. It came in today (Wed). This thing is huge. This thing is incredible. How can they sell this for a profit? I think it would cost at least $50 just to purchase the uncountable zippers and velcro tie downs all over it. It is padded all over, even the bottom has half an inch of padding. It comes with two, removable, padded pistol wallets (zippered of course), a removable mini-range bag thats about one fourth the size of the mother ship, also with its own pockets and zippers and pads. And even the mini-bag has a removable bag for spent cases. The side bags of the mother ship all have tool slots and velcro ties for customizing, both on the inside and the outside of the zip open covers. It appears to be quality nylon, and it appears to actually be made to carry real weight reliably. The bag shoulder strap clips to a two inch metal ring sewn into a double strap two inch heavy duty nylon that appears to circumnavigate the bag.

Here is a picture where its on the concrete floor for examination.

I am not an agent nor am I someone who advertises for others, but I cannot believe what I have recieved for $40 bucks. I have seen high quality range carry stuff for five times this price that is not as well built or has anywhere near the features. Oh, just noticed this. Behind the right end zipper bag is a water bottle/soda can holder complete with waterproof insert/drain.

If you ever wanted a total range bag, this is it. The price is unbelievable. I need to order another one before you folks buy them out. Wow. Just Wow.

I just read most of the reviews on this bag on the Midway web site. I was impressed to the point that I ordered one. My wife and I have been looking for something to carry our guns and ammo in when we go to the range and this seems like it should do the trick.

+1 Yeaaaa !
I was impressed to the point that I ordered one.

Be warned, though. I had to order another already as my first one dissappeared. Seems it showed up in the sewing room all chocked full of organized yarn colors, knitting stuff, patterns and all manner of things. Portable sewing machine fits perfectly in the center of the bag. Who would've thought ?

Been using one of Midway's older range bags for years. They hold up real well and you can really over-stuff them but all they are is just like a large gym bag with a couple of outside pockets. I've been looking at the NRA bag but these look better for a lot less money. You're a pretty good salesman there, Sinclair, mine should be here next week. Thanks for the reminder.

And thanks for a good chuckle. Like I said, I don't advertise for others but
when I see excellent value at a real steal, its time to share that with folks who
will appreciate it. But the proof is in the pudding. I am curious to see what you
and Deacon Jim have to say when you get yours. Maybe I am all wet and
my value system needs calibration. But I don't believe so. What I believe is that
everyone here would be more than thrilled with one of these things. For the
modest bucks, you can't go wrong here.

Been thinking about my sense of values. Deacon Jim's comment about the Midway reviews on this item were worth a second look. Yes, those comments, without exception, sound like my own reaction. So I started a little research on the Midway site. I think this is an anomaly, maybe a sales mistake. I will be really interested in your comments when those who have ordered receive this item.

My order included two of these as part of the bag itself:

http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=540650

Price $11.29 each. Total for two is over half the original purchase price.
This is the bag I actually received, the only difference is the Midway Logo's on it:

http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=317932

Note price is $139. Near as I can tell from the photo, its the same bag. Just look at the ad photo and the one I took of my bag above. Note the pistol wallets are not included with this one, at nearly four times the price. While it says a water bottle is included, I would rather have the pistol wallets. If you add those, the price comes to around $165. No wonder I was impressed. Is this a sales mistake? Something is not as it seems here. Twilight Zone marketing ?

Mine is on the truck and headed this way. It is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. I will post my thoughts after I see the bag in person.

WOW!!! I just received my bag. Even though it is made in China, it is everything and more that Sinclair said. There is definitely plenty of room for 'stuff'. The problem with that is, now I have to buy more 'stuff' to fill the bag. You know how that goes, your 'stuff' expands to fill the available storage space.

I can't wait to fill it up and trying it out. Once I use it for awhile I may have further comments.

:D I recieved the bag Friday but didn't unpack it until just now. All I can say is WOW. Now I can take the wife shooting with the pistols, revolvers, ammo, some cleaning gear, ear muffs and everything all in one bag, neatly. Thanks for the heads up Sinclair, that was much appreciated.

Remember:If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

For those still interested, this bag went on sale again today until the end of August. Check the link in the first post.

Remember, it has 3 "WOW" ratings so far, four if you count my wife's knitting bag. That's from me, Grampa, and Deacon Jim.

I've been using a plastic tool box, but I may have to get one of these.

If you do get one, be sure and post your opinion of it in here. I think
everyone on this forum would be happy with one and would never regret it.
But that's just me.
