Congratulations!

Now, I sure hope the Alamo PD doesn't take it upon themselves to retaliate in
any form or manner.

Good luck!

Congratulations Jizzle. I think we might be loosing sight of what this really is. It could have been any PD across the country, well at least across 42 or so states. I know one thing for sure, the officer(s) that responded was not properly trained. This is an occasion to celebrate that another police department has been properly briefed and trained on a very important constitutional issue. Thank you Jizzle for pursuing this and not allowing an injustice to continue to happen.

Way to go Jizzle, that has got to feel just great. Thanks for fighting when most would have just gone home angry. Hope the rewards equal the courage and determination you showed.

I know it has been a long drawn out process for you. This is a lesson that needs to be shared with all the police departments to prevent things like this from happening. The Police are out there to protect us and put their lives in danger everyday for us. It is easy in a small town with little violence for a police officer to over react on a gun call. This is were it comes down to training. A properly trained officer or officers in this case would have avoided all of this if they would have handled it all a little different. Jizzle, good work in proving your case. I hope lessons are learned to avoid future cases like this.

I would venture to say there are more homicides her per capita then anywhere else in NM. However, I do agree that it is a training issue. I'm glad it's over for you Jizzle. I'm also glad everyone in Alamogordo will benefit, no matter how small the impact. Congratulations.
