hey is anyone doing any deer hunting this year,bow opened up last saturday here TN. and has anyone had any luck so far this year. I have not been hunting yet it still a little warm to be hunting right now of the evenings thats the only time I have is after work and on the weekends I have been to lazy. but I am hoping to go in the morning.

Bow season opened up here at the beginning of September. I haven't been hunting in several years but know of several people who do. It hasn't been a real harvesting year for them.

Speak for yourself there BMan. I had archery tags for deer and elk this year. Filled my elk tag, a nice 6x6 that should score around 190. As for my deer tag, I didn't fill it yet, but the bow season reopens Jan 1 - 15 which is the rut here. Should have no problem filling it then.

Also gotten a good number of doves, teal season was a waash, but the full duck season opens before too long here. It's been a good season so far and I'm always looking for any excuse to make it better.

I don't think I'll be making the BBQ, sorry. As far as where I was hunting; I hunt unit 34. If I were to be any more specific than that, my hunting buddies would hang me.

Yeah, sorry about that, I hunt in NM. There's so many people on here from NM that sometimes I forget we have folks on here from elsewhere. And you have no idea how my hunting buddies are. I had to hunt with them for a while before they would even show me some of their good spots. Two of the guys have been hunting together for better than 10 years and in 2 or 3 states. I was the outsider for a good while. And I'm sure there's probably a few spots I still haven't been shown yet.

I got some hunting buddies that will talk your head of about deer hunting,but wont take you out with them,or tell you where they hunt.
