Let it be known that we, the people of New Mexico, stand in recognition of the true principle that whenever a government abandons the purpose for which we have created it, and even becomes hostile towards that which it was once a defender of, it is no longer a fit steward of the political power that is inherent in the people and lent to this government with strict conditions. These conditions are clearly defined in the United States Constitution and understood by the common man. Furthermore, to the extent that our government violates these conditions, they nullify their own authority, at which point it is our right and duty as sovereign Americans to entrust this power to new stewards who will not depart from the laws we have given them.
This being the case, let it be known that should our government seek to further tax, restrict or register firearms or otherwise impose on the right that shall not be infringed, thus impairing our ability to exercise the God-given right to self-defense which precedes all human legislation and is superior to it, that the duty of us good and faithful people will not be to obey them but to alter or abolish them and institute new government laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form as to us shall seem most likely to affect our safety and happiness.

Your post above sounds very much like this article:
http://www.lvrj.com/news/oath-keepers-pledges-to-prevent-dictatorship-in-united-states-64690232.html
When those who pledge to keep their oath to the constitution become possible domestic terrorists, we have total insanity.

I will have to disagree a bit with you Sincliar. The OathKeepers seem like extreme radicals. I am speaking for the group, which I am not a member of, and think their main purposes is to make sure that our 2ND Amendment Rights are not violated. For instance, I guess there are signs at the Otero County Fair Grounds that say No Weapons allowed. Otero County Fair Grounds is a public place and therefore should not be able to put up these signs. From what I understand, the Task Force will protest those kind of things. A2ATF will the the person who can elaborate more on this.

You are right on target as far as the 2ATF is concerned there Bman. We are about preserving the 2nd Amendment and educating the people on what its meaning is. We are focused on regaining some lost liberties as well as being a part of the community, because we are the community.
As far as Oath Keepers goes, I have kept track of them almost since their start. The come off strong but for good reason. They are a group of active and retired military, peace officers as well as just plain ol people who have taken an oath to the constitution (as I have) and intend on KEEPING that oath (as I do) and not following unlawful orders i.e. gun confiscation. For the most part they are everyday joes that are standing for a cause, it just so happens to be our founding document they are standing for. But that is my opinion

I found that humorous. You administrate a "conceal carry" website, defending the 2nd amendment but those who take the same stand on the entire constitution seem like radicals. I hope you realize that to the anti-gun folks, this site is far more radical than the Oath Keepers, who are made up of veterans, military, and police officers, among others.
The difference between "Oath Takers" and "Oath Keepers" is becoming profound now. My Oath to the constitution was NEVER rescinded when I left the military.

Well said, I continue to uphold that Oath on a daily basis and will continue to do so after my time in the military is complete.

Easy Sinclair. I'm willing to bet that the first Bman heard of Oath Keepers was on that article that you linked to. We both know that the mainstream media likes to put a twist on things to make them sound crazy if they go against their own agenda. That article shed some positive light on the Oath Keepers but also alluded to them being a bunch of conspiracy theorists "ready to revolt" That is not why Stewart Rhodes started this movement, he started it to remind the ones of the oath they took...we knew that but Bman didn't.

A2ATF is correct. Your article is the first time I have heard of the Oath Keepers. When I read stuff like,
"More specifically, the group's members, which number in the thousands, pledge to disobey orders they deem unlawful, including directives to disarm the American people and to blockade American cities. By refusing the latter order, the Oath Keepers hope to prevent cities from becoming "giant concentration camps," a scenario the 44-year-old Rhodes says he can envision happening in the coming years."
It makes feel like he is a way radical and a little loony!
I read this from your article. "But these kinds of conspiracy theories are what drive a small number of people to criminal violence. ... What's troubling about Oath Keepers is the idea that men and women armed and ordered to protect the public in this country are clearly being drawn into a world of false conspiracy theory."I can only think that they are hard core. I do believe that we need to defend our rights and I am willing to stand behind that. I also believe it is up to the public and groups such as the A2ATF to help protect our rights and make sure that the City, State and Government are not violating them because they feel that the can.
