I have been considering a Dual Carry for my 1911 and have a question for my fellow 1911 owners, and others who may wish to opine. I notice that this holster does not have a strap that goes over the slide where the hammer would rest. Is it safe to carry a 1911 in this type of holster "cocked and locked"?

It is not a 1911, but I carry my XD 40 loaded in it. I guess the difference is the hammer is exposed on the 1911.

Yeah I'm thinking that since there is no thumb strap on it, there is nothing that could possible take the gun off safety. I've got to order one of these babies...
