The Appleseed project will be holding a shoot in Alamogordo at the Sidney Paul Gordon range on 9-10 Jan 2010, 0830 till sundown.

Appleseed teaches rifle marksmanship. No matter your perceived level of skill with the rifle, we can improve your shooting ability. If you are an average shooter, your skill will improve dramatically.

I just sent out an announcement to my mailing list for the
Alamogordo 2nd Amendment Task Force. I'm gonna be there as well.

I think you'll be more than pleasantly surprised.

I worked with a battalion from the 3rd Infantry Div for a week in October. They went from being "qualified" by Army standards to being 90%+ at 500 yards and 65% on 600 (with issue M4's).

FTR:
To qualify "Expert" by current Army/AF standards (they are the same BTW) you would need to be able to shoot a score of 118 on our course of fire which is the old Army AQT where it took 125 to qualify.

Hey Sam,

I'll be there but I have a question. From the times stated will everyone be shooting the entire time or will the class be broken up? On Day2 can I bring my Garand and AR, the AR is still in need of a red dot re-sighting so it would be a great opportunity!

Hi darrell,
Trigger time starts at 0830 Saturday and stops at sundown Sunday. everybody shooting all the time!
No shooting during lunch but that is when you get yer book learning.
Make sure to preregister so I can ensure there are enough instructors on hand.

My camera battery is hors de combat.
Have too much fun teaching anyway unfortunately and forget to have someone else do it most times. FFF already chastised me for it.

Free for women, kids, GI's, elected officials and declared candidates. That's 95% of the county.
