I carry a 9mm most of the time as my primary cc weapon. Can you give me some input to as what the best or preferred 9mm carry ammo would be?

For me it depends on my target, Any FMJ for metal and paper, Hydra-shok or Black Talon for soft targets. Bullet grain size is completely dependent to the gun being fired, IMO.

Depends upon what you are doing. For target shooting anything will do. Sure an FTE is irritating but better when its against a paper target versus a target that can shoot back.

For PD purposes I would say pick up a box of several of the modern Personal Defense loads.

Federal HydraShok, Winchester ST, Corbin etc are all good loads (as are several others). Test them through your individual firearm to ensure they work and you can be accurate with the ammo you select.

I typically run 500 to a thousand rounds in a new ammo before carrying it in a PD role.

KEWL - Black beauties (Talons) Nice of Winchester to pull them off the market, take off the black, make them hotter and faster, and then sell them like hotcakes.

I still have over 10,000 of the original in just about every caliber they made.

Corbon, Hydra Shok, Black Talon (if you can get your hands on some)

Ya, the shelves at Walmart are pretty bare in the ammunition section.
