hi everybody i am looking to get ccw in ohio took ccw class got certificate i have a none felony drug charge from 20 years ago nothing magor kid stuff i want to no if any one in position that got there ccw . with out spending a small fortune on lawer.

Welcome to the site. Have you already sent in the paperwork to get your permit? Did it get declined?

Two things you should do before you send in your application.

1. Check this out, it is the ATF rules.

2. Contact a lawyer in your state, they can tell you or find out for sure if you can posess a gun.

Don't take the advice of anyone on an internet forum, they can't give you the information you need, only opinions.

Have you bought any firearms legally in this time span?
If so and you were able to make the purchases then you can get the permit because anything that would negate you a permit would also keep you from owning a firearm.
I personally know of someone that plead guilty to a forgery charge and was able to obtain a carry permit, another person had a drug charge on their record and was allowed to purchase a handgun last year but this of course is in Tennessee and it could be vastly different from where you are in Ohio?

few years back went bought 9mm no broblem went back few months later to get 45 they said no way because of past record thanks for everyones in put i gess ill just see what hapens if they say no ill apeal

Oklahoma says within 3 yrs. prior to application for non felony non violent charges.
