Default Must notify laws

I am glad we are not required to notify here in NM. This officer are of the type that make me very concerned for our rights.

Seeing this post is what prompted me to register on this forum - just to say that this cop has no business being a cop if he gets all bent out of shape like that. It really angered me.

I realize that in the course of their profession, police do put up with a lot and get into some scary situations, but a level head is needed to deal with it. This cop clearly doesn't have one of those.

This video went viral. I read that this cop has a history of this sort of behavior.

I couldn't agree with you more on this. Sadly, there are a lot of cops who are on a power trip (most that I have encountered).

Recently I was involved in an auto accident that was not my fault in any way, and it was obvious. The officer who investigated was rude, and several times told me that I "needed to be honest" with him. He also screwed up the accident report (several times). Each time I had to call and ask him to fix it, which took several days each time. Because of that it has been a month and a half before I could even file a claim for repairs from the at-fault parties insurance company.

I sympathize. Although, I'm a woman, and admittedly get breaks from male cops. Not females though - there's a female statie that lives in my area - no one really likes her ... don't get me going on power-tripping female cops. She purposely tailgates you going 55 mph just to intimidate - she's done it to me. I'm starting to really get into hidden camera surveillance because these days - you never know.

On 2 Sept. I was pulled over by a traffic cop. Having time to lower all my windows, turn the car off and pull my wallet. I placed both hands on the wheel and waited for him to approach. Asking for my drivers license and registration, I handed him my drivers license and then my CCW license. He asked if I had a weapon in the car, I told him I did and that was the end of that. He returned my CCW and wrote me a ticket ($147) and told me to watch my speed.

I asked the officer how did I do on notification. "you did well and thank you". That was my second time talking with police here in Columbus. Both times it went very well, both times the officers were great!

Next time she does that to you, slam on your brakes and let the state of Maine buy you a new car. A dog, cat, moose or bear ran out in front of you. You have whiplash. She's ticketed or written up a disciplinary report for following too close or failure to control speed. Might even get her kicked off the force, or suspended, depending on her employment record.

Seriously, some day she will rearend somebody and I hope nobody is seriously injured. Report her to her supervisor noteing time, and location, road conditions, & visibility.

Just an FYI. He was terminated but the union got him his job back. Wouldn't have happened if I were chief. City Mgr would have beeen told, You can have him back on the job, but you can't have us both. He's a lousy cop and is going to kill somebody some day & it won't be a righteous shooting. He comes back, I go.
